I love songs that make me feel emotional or make me super pumped up but #1 is emotion. Some of the songs I love that get me emotional:
Then - Brad Paisley (This is an amazingly good love song)
That Ain't My Truck - Rhett Adkins (I've been there. Not a good place to be when the woman you want/love is with another man)
Whiskey Lullaby - The song says it all. Its an emotional song. Love and Addiction are so strong..
End of the Road - Boys to Men - About a relationship that has ended and not by the man's choice. I can relate... Sort of... More regret than anything.
Mine - Naya Rivera (originally by Taylor Swift) - I love love love this song!
The Scientist - This song is just awesome and emotionally triggered by nature.
Good Riddance - Green Day - Not super emotional but it hits on a trigger for me cause I loved high school so so much and I miss being young. I miss my friends from high school. It also pisses me off because people just move on without much thought. My best friend from high school just moved away without thinking about the implications. Well I haven't seen him since. It hurt me so much. I cherish my friendships so much and would never just give up on a friend for any reason.
Name - Fireflight - Probably the #1 most emotional song I have ever heard. I cry (inside) every single time I hear this song. Tears hit my eyes. Powerful song. God is real. If you don't cry while listening to this song you are not a real person.
The One That Got Away - Katy Perry - This song is so emotional. I can't explain it. Just the way it is sung. Just the thoughts that go through my head when I hear this song. The video is awesome as well. One of my very favorite songs. My heart feels this to the core. Makes me want to love someone so much. I'm a hopeless romantic.
Don't Cry - This song is amazing. I love it so much and is in my top 10 songs of all time. I first heard this song when I was 15 and reminded me of one of my first love for so long, Kelli. This was one of her favorite songs back then along with November Rain and On Bended Knee. That was a great time in my life. It became one of my favorite songs of all time (#2 on my list). The emotion in the song is so deep and so strong.
Always Be My Baby - Mariah Carey - This song was one of my favorites a long time ago and it always made me emotional growing up. Wishing I could find that perfect girl for me....
With You Around - Wow! This song is #1 in emotion. Wow. I almost can't breath as I listen to it. The song is so great but it also makes me think of a special someone who turned my life upside down. She is so amazing. I loved her more than I thought I could ever love someone. But now she is not here. I wanted to chase forever down with her.... under the CA sun...
Love Story - Taylor Swift - This song is really good. It is about love and I've always wanted that fairy tail story. I would give anything to be totally and utterly in love with someone who I could take care of and spoil for the rest of my life :) I want passion in my relationship and I can't wait until I find it.. Had it once briefly but it wasn't right...But that wasn't right. Once I find it for real she is going to be the happiest girl in the world for the rest of her life :)
Over You - Sung by Miranda Lambert, but my favorite version is from Cassadee Pope from the Voice. That version was amazing and hit all my emotions! Trying see it on Youtube but it seems to be blocked. Please please please comment with the link to the video!!!!!
The House That Built Me - Miranda Lambert - Hard not to get emotional when hearing this song. I had a great childhood. My parents were the very best. I love my mom and dad so much! I wish I could spend more quality time with them now. But honestly, my childhood was so great. I feel so blessed and am so thankful. A tear just streamed down my face...
What of Love - Clear - This is a band that I saw live during college. They really are amazing and I love all their songs. They sing with emotion and I really hope they are still performing today. This song is very emotional.
This Nothin' Town - Jason Aldean - I just love this song. It hits me in an emotional way for some reason. Aldean just has the way to make people feel that way. Its a feeling like you want to just love life and love someone!
When She Says Baby - Jason Aldean - See above....
Feel That Again- Jason Aldean - See above....
One of Us - Joan Osborne - This song hit me hard when it first came out in the mid to late nineties. It sure made me think. Yeah, what if God was here on earth with us. And the way it is sung is so amazing. Joan Osborne you are amazing! Thanks for writing this song. This song made me think of a special girl for so long as well. She lived far away but back then I would do anything to see her. This girl was amazing. We met up north when I was at a family reunion. We ended up hanging out in my tent. ok ok nothing really happened. We were young. I was like 15 and she was 13. But we started seeing each other off and on for two years after that. I loved every minute of my time with her. Her name is Daphne and I will never forget her. I reconnected with her for a while last year but her boyfriend sort of shut that down.. I'm ok with it. Just glad I got to talk to her again. She was the one that got away...
Run - Collective Soul - This song just has an emotional feeling to it. Makes me just sit and think. Think about the past. Think about the future. Think about the present. This song just makes me happy. Plus it was perfectly placed in a great movie called Varsity Blues which I love. Emotion is all over this song.
Far Behind - Candlebox - This song is probably #1 or #2 in my most emotional songs. Wow Wow Wow. Just listen to this song a few times in the dark with nothing distracting you. Its going to hit you hard. Its going to hit right to your heart. It sure hits me. Just let it help you think... Play it loud and listen :)
Even If It Breaks Your Heart - Eli Young Band - Man I wish this song was still played on the radio!! I loved to wake up to this song. So awesome. This song has a lot of feelings to it. Hits me deep inside. I'm not sure I totally understand but I want what this guy has when he sings this song. I want to be at that concert!!!
Strawberry Wine - This song has hit me hard emotionally so many times, especially when I was younger. I first heard this song in 1996 and man I loved it. I wanted to fall in love so badly and this song sure accelerated that feeling! Its about being young and finding that first love. The most amazing feeling anyone could ever feel.
See You Again - Carrie Underwood - WOW! This song is so emotional. I listen to the lyrics and it makes me cry every single time, and I haven't cried since 7th grade! Honestly. This song got me. I just put myself in her place. This is so incredibly emotional and sad. I feel for this girl. It makes me hate life sometimes. Because life can be so cruel. Why Lord?? Why? We don't deserve to go through this pain. But I know we can find comfort in YOU!
Motorcyle Drive By - Third Eye Blind - This song is probably the most emotional song I have ever heard. This is one of my very favorite songs. I am not sure why but it just is. This is a song the builds as it goes... It is a song that you need to listen to at least 5 -6 times before you really love it. These are the best songs.. I can listen to this song constantly :)
Knock You Down - Keri Hilson - This song is really good and hits me emotionally. I really like this song. The lyrics are what I like. I want someone that comes into my life and "knocks me down" cause I'm so in love and so amazed by that person. Love is a very powerful thing..
Just A Dream - Carrie Underwood - I remember hearing this song when I was heading to the airport in Washington DC and it made me cry. I had tears in my eyes and I couldn't see so I had to pull over... I was late for my flight but it didn't matter. I wanted to experience the emotion in this song. Honestly, this song is so sad. So sad! I put myself in her place and it hit me hard. Can you imagine if your husband (or wife), who you loved so much, died? That thought hit me. It has to be a dream..
Wasting All These Tears - Cassadee Pope - This song just screams emotions. I've seen this video so many times cause I wanted to feel something and this song always made me feel something. Someone cheating on you is going to hurt. Its going to make you feel some serious emotion. I never ever want to feel that type of emotion but this song sure made me feel like I was in her shoes and I actually liked feeling that because it made me feel..something. But if this happens to me for real, I sure won't like feeling that..
Waiting for Superman - Daughtry - A new song that you sure can feel the passion/emotion in the song. I love this song. This song got some publicity but not enough. Its way too good and should be all over the radios even today! I love Chris Daughtry
Take My Hand - Dido - I took my wife, Amy, to a Dido concert for our first anniversary and it was the most amazing concert I think I will ever go to. This particular song was the very best of the concert. The song starts slow and slowly builds up. It just hits your heart and your emotions. Hard to explain. But honestly, I miss my wife Amy. She is an amazing woman and I regret leaving her.
Not Ready To Make Nice - Dixie Chicks - This song screams emotion. This lady is so hurt and it comes out in this song. I'm sure a lot of woman can relate to her and I just enjoy the song and I always appreciate emotion in songs. I really do love this band.
Be Like That - 3 Doors Down - Wow, this song has made me so emotional over many years. Every single time I hear this song I feel so emotional. I love it!! Its the lyrics and the way it is sung. "If I could be like that...I would give anything.." For me it make me feel regret a bit and just wishing I did things differently.
Here's To Never Growing Up - Avril Lavigne - I like this song, it hits me. I want to stay young forever!!!!
Remember When - Avril Lavigne - Wow, this song is amazing. So amazing. I know the story behind the song so it hits me hard. I know Avril was married to the Sum 41 lead singer, Derek Whibley. They were married for three years but he messed up. He was an alcoholic. She loved him so much but she just couldn't stay with him so she just had to leave. She had to tell him that it is over and she isn't going to be coming back. This again hits me because I recently go divorced from the most amazing woman I probably will ever meet. Amy was so perfect and I just messed it up. She doesn't want to hang out with me ever again. Its all about emotions..... ;((((
Push - Avril Lavigne - I love her album "Goodbye Lullaby". The whole album is just about her breakup with Derek. I can feel her emotion in each song. This song is awesome and I love listening to it. This song is at the early stages of the relationship but shows that she is so strong and won't put up with shit. She loves Derek but there are certain things that can mess up that love.. I totally relate.
Wish You Were Here - Another great Avril song. I wish you were here!! You know who you are..
Smile - Avril - Probably my favorite song on this album. Wow. I just love everything about it.
Stop Standing There - Avril - Wow, another great song from this album. My heart is pounding. Don't waste another day, don't waste another minute! Open up your heart, show me who you are..
I Love You - Avril - The lyrics hit home to me. This is true love. I love who you are but there is so much more to you and I love you for who you are in the inside!
Darlin' - Avril - Good song, I wish you could be happy, "nothing else I can do but love you the best than I can"
Do You Want Me (Dead)? - Ok this song doesn't make me feel sad at all. It makes me want to jump around and pumped like you have no idea. There is a lot of emotion in this song. Great song. I just want to listen to this song every day!
Up Against The Wall - Boys Like Girls - Wow, this song strikes my emotions like no other. I love listening to this song and thinking about the question: "would I rather have loved and lost or would I have never loved at all?" I always said I would have rather loved and lost. That gives me that memory, that experience... but after getting hurt so bad now I'm rethinking that.. Now I think I would rather have just never have loved to avoid that pain......But the pain is so temporary so I still will stand firm on my position of loving and losing..
Learning to Fall - Boys Like Girls - I like this song and there is a ton of emotion in this song.. You must listen to it.
I Want You Bad - The Offspring - Ok this song doesn't have much emotion but its the most emotional songs from a great band called Offspring. And I really love this song so...
See You On The Other Side - Ozzy Osboure - I really like this song. Its pretty emotional thinking about the friends I have lost over the years. RIP Chris DeLong.
Still Into You - Paramore - This song is really great. Makes me think of someone who I fell in love with super fast and said I would always love her. And I don't break my promises.
Deep Inside Of You - Third Eye Blind - I love this song and it fits well for being "intimate". You want to know that person so well that you are sort of inside them. I want intimacy with my girl. I know my true destiny is out there and I will find her. She will be so happy and I know I will be happy as well because I found that perfect person for me.
Waiting Game - Yellowcard (tons of emotion in this song)
Martin Sheen or JFK - Yellowcard - Yellowcard just pours emotion out in their songs. I love it!!
The Takedown - Yellowcard - This song is good. I'm going to Vegas for the first time at the end of the month (Oct 31). I am looking forward to it and will let you all know how it goes. I know how to count cards in blackjack so my secondary goal is to make money. My first goal is just to have fun :)
Afraid - Yellowcard - Lots of emotion and passion in this song. So last night I was asked out by a girl. Yes a girl asked me out. I have never gone out with her. I started to talk to this girl on facebook a few months ago. I had a bit of a crush on her in high school. I was free on Thursday so of course I said yes! We went out to this cool sports bar to watch the Vikings vs. Packers game. I had a good time just talking to her and watching the Vikes get their asses kicked! But I can't wait to see her again. She lives near me so that is a totally bonus. I'm sure we'll see each other again soon. 2nd date will be awesome Lindsay...I promise.. :)
For You and Your Denial - Yellowcard - This song has a ton of passion and emotion in it. It is one of my favorite songs. I just love it. Its a great song to pump you up if you are doing something you need a little boost :) haha. I made a video of myself jumping around to this song. Its on Youtube. I totally made a fool of myself but I'm proud of it!! Just look me up on youtube. Jonathan Gaylord. You will see that I like this song and am passionate about it... haha!!
See Me Smiling - Yellowcard - Last song from Yellowcard, even though there could be a lot more!, this song rocks. my favorite lyrics: "The sun comes up, and you are all over my mind. You're in my brain before I can open my eyes?"..."Its ten years now and I'm still learning to let go". This guy misses his girl so much. He loved her like you can only imagine. I totally relate to my boy from Yellowcard. We both loved and lost. But she is out there and maybe we will meet again..:)
Pieces - Sum 41 - I love this song. He wanted to be perfect but he couldn't do that. He couldn't live up to her (Avril's) expectations and he messed the relationships up. He says he is better off on his own, but you know it and I know it, that that isn't true. Having a woman makes a man level. straight. balanced. I was married for a long time and I've been single for a while and I can tell you that having a wife is so nice. Most woman are amazing. They are so unselfish. My ex is amazing. I'm not sure if any woman I could ever meet would be as great as her. She was always willing to make dinner, even after working out after work. She even wanted to fix me a snack later in the night after I played baseball or whatever. She strived to be the best wife she could be. And she really was. Amy was the very best wife a man could have. I have regretted leaving her every single day over the past two years. I wish I could make it right but that isn't possible at this point. Even though I know with God all things are possible so I will never give up with her. I'm just going to let her know how I feel each and every day. I will tell her if I appreciate her. I will tell her if I think she is pretty. I will tell her if I respect her or love what she is doing. I know there are restrictions with what I can say but I'm just being real. I know during our marriage I took her for granted but now I would never do that. I am very observant and I want to let her know if there is something I appreciate.
Speak of The Devil - Sum 41- This song is really good and I love the lyrics as they are a bit controversial. Said he doesn't like his parents but whatever.
More songs to come later. Need to add to my list as some of the song I listed probably haven't been listed yet.....
